​Learning in the EYFS takes place through a wide range of activities designed to encourage all of our students to play and explore, learn actively, and think critically. The learning is dynamic and takes place in our large inside space and in our Forest with creativity and play at the heart of our programme. We offer opportunities for discovery across all areas of the curriculum.

Our experiences are built on through ongoing observation and assessment in the three prime and four specific areas of learning:

In our Reception class, children are gradually introduced to more formal education, while also encompassing the creative experiences of EYFS. All children work towards achieving the Early Learning Goals, as set out in framework and develop a love and understanding of learning.

Children end their Reception stage with valuable experiences, ready to approach the National Curriculum in Year 1 and beyond.​
